At May's PCA "Fiesta New Mexico" I recognized a rare 997: one of only five Brumos editions.
That got me wondering what a Brumos 993 looked like, but I never found any photographs on the web. I only found renderings by someone who wrote that such a car never existed.
Wouldn't ya know ... all I had to do was ask JoAnne.
Instantly she showed me this awesome model they own. As if that wasn't cool enough -- it's even signed by Hurley Haywood!

Let's get together soon -- whether here or there
My pleasure, m'lady.
Kudos to you & Robert for opening your doors to a questionable vagabond like me, & allowing more insight to your fascinating lives.
Enjoyed every minute!

family heirloom
Speaking of valuable insight into your guys' lives...
I saved the most important for last.
The one that started it all, the toy Robert received ~age 7
...before he really knew what a Porsche was!
Back-story:
Being a great mom, Robert's mother kept him occupied & educated with a travel game, checking off license plates sited from each state while driving. It fed his appetite for cars, & he knew everything a kiddo could about American automobiles.
One day, something new & exotic caught Robert's eye, quickly approaching to overtake his family.
Zooming past, it was followed by the words, "Dad! What's that?"
"I don't don't know, son. Never seen anything like it. Think it said 'Speedster' on the side."
Being a great dad, Robert's father did a little more research, & one day returned home with a gift.
The rest is history!
The wear & tear is authentic, evidencing the intensity of a young boy playing with his favorite toy.
This one will never be for sale. A family heirloom

It be me!
My artwork hanging on the guest bathroom wall!
Not much SY993 content. More like Jo and Ro are nutz content......
U R RIGHT. That last picture of the little blue 356 is a family heirloom and will never leave our tiny little family.
If I have my way when we are old and grey and I'm in my late 80's and he's in his late 90's, and Robert goes on to heaven, that little car will be in his pocket. It is his and always will be.
