I am in the market for my first 993. I really like speed yellow, but wanted to know what other Porsche purists thought about that as a color. I haven't found many SY other than the one at Truspeed. Anyone have an opinion on that car for the price?
I can always look for the safe choice and go with a black one.

Your call totally. For those who own it, they are very passionate about it and it does command some premium it appears.

For me, I am not into loud car colors - too much unwanted attention for me. But that's just me. I LOVE to see SY and all the beautiful blue versions of 993, but I would not be comfortable driving this on a daily basis. Again, just me. For many, SY is "da bomb", rightly so, so the choice is all up to you.

There is nothing better than a SY 993, except perhaps a SY 993 TT It excites you when you drive it and it excites when you just look at it!

If you are asking a bunch of strangers on the internet whether or not you should get speed yellow, you're probably not bold enough to drive a speed yellow car in front of strangers in real life. IMO, it's awesome, especially on 993s.

I can take it or leave it. For me, it was about the underlying car. If you want a yellow 993, it's your only non-color-to-sample choice though.

Terrible color. If you find any varioram narrow body, 6spd coupes .. just p.m. me and I'll take care of it.

It is not a neutral colour, so it might be tougher to resell, but for those who want SY, they will pay a premium. Since you like it, go for it!
