Default RS Club Sport Straße - Rivi

My friend showed up to the 356 Dana Point Concours with this Club Sport Straße of from Sweden on a 1 year temp DOT permit.

I figured bad pics are better than no pics....

A Clubsport was the Street version with a welded roll-cage. A RS could be orderd with the Clubsport wing kit.

So .. a Clubsport 'Street' was an RS with a welded in roll-cage. Do I have that right? So .. this is an RS ordered with or modified with a Clubsport wing kit and then the owner had an aftermarket roll cage installed .. Is that bad?

Yes, order code for the wing was M 471 for the RS. And the Clubsport-package was M003

There are only RS Versions M002 and Clubsport M003 versions and some Special Version M007 for Japan with rear seats and power windows

You know a lot, so one more question please. Did Porsche make RHD RS for Japan?

I know they made RHD version even a Clubsport M003. I would think since that they made a Version M007 for Japan with rear seats, power windows and with airbags standard that they had a RHD version.

But I know you could order it in the UK in LHD and would think you could do that also in Japan.

all stock. The Straße version had the heater blower motor instead of by-pass tube.
It is the real deal.

Not quite
the RS could be had w/ a bolt in Matter cage for the rear seat area

the RS/CS came w/ a welded in full cage as used in the Cup cars, I've seen 2 versions of these one version has the bars in an X across the doors the other has a descending diagonal as used on 964Cups. Both have a transverse bar at the knees

the seats were also different, the RS used the same seats as the Speedster, the RS/CS had FIA certified racing seats and 6 pt harness std.

RS/CS has a sun visor only on the drivers side and carpeting was optional

RS/CS doesn't have front kick panel carpet and does have the manual battery disconnect next to where the drivers side air vent would have been

RS/CS has the strut brace standard, RS it's optional
