Default Power seats - recline broken

Helping a friend with a driver seat problem. The seat back will not recline (power) and just flops back into the rear seat as if it is disconnected. The other functions of the seat work as normal. Any ideas? Thanks

Well, if it was just not moving, I'd suggest looking at the drive cable under the seat but if it's floppy then the only suggestion I can think of involves a little blue pill. I know, that doesn't help much. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Either the cable or more likely the switch.. do a search on how to open the switch up and clean the contacts.. they get arc'd over time..

Thanks, I would have to imagine it is a mechanical disconnect and those are the most likely the culprits.

Does anyone know where I can find a mechanical diagram of the seat? Thanks

the repair is pretty easy...take off the covers on each side and look for a very small allen head...thats the square rod....need to pull it out, remove the seat back and remove the broken piece, install new pieces and done....vinnie
