993 Key fob/switchblade alternatives?
ok folks, im sure this has been discussed before, but what is the overall best replacement for the 993 switchblade key system?
It is bulky, poor quality and has flaws including blade function not working and case falling apart.
what is available and in north america?

My car came with the key fob from the previous RL owner(looks like the one from Suncoast above). I have not used the original keys yet. The "suncoast?" key fob will not let me start the car if it has been unlocked for a few minutes. I have to lock the car (with fob) then unlock it again to start. It is convenient regarding the point and click aspect.

There are some China made knock off of the Porsche Suncoast fobs on fleabay for about 20 bux, but I would not recommend them. Fit, finish, and durability leave lots to be desired.
BTW, the Porsche key fob in this disucssion used to be around $17...Until the POS switchblade keyfob came out and made the other one extremely desireable (Porsche marketing 101)
P.S. Those are some damn nice action photos!
I wanna see the utube video...
