I'm thinking of getting a 2 seat convertible as I've sold my last motorcycle last week. I'd like to have less $$ tied up in a car. I might go for a 01-02 Z3 M Roadster.
The leftover $$ I can use for a bigger sailboat.

The car will have a fresh 60k service done before I let it go. Tires and battery are new last year.
Never had any body work done. A few years ago an elderly gentleman rolled into me at a stop light. Unfortunately for him a cop was right beside me when it happened.
Not even a scratch on my car, but the cop insisted on writing it up as the driver was so old he really should not have been driving. This of course is now recorded on Carfax.
Glad I never removed those black bumper guards!

the carfax is not going to help matters, id say that it will effect the value as much as a car that was in a real fender bender... regardless of the story behind it.... bummer. still a beautiful 993

I disagree. Any competent buyer would do a PPI. It will reveal there was no damage.

when you are truely ready to sell...save all the additional time and expense and just place a detailed FS listing right here.

If the car is as clean and solid as you present it, being a nice clor combo and a WB...if it is priced reasonably, it'll sell no problem.

problem solved

Good Luck

Sounds like unfortunate for you too, you have to deal with the aftermath.

Accidents on Carfax matter. The only people that want to believe they dont and say it doesn't, are the ones with accidents on their car's Carfax.

People immediately assume they will be lied to about the details surrounding the accident and don't want to invest the time or energy.

For people who look beyond it, there has to be a huge emotional pull..rarity of color, or model or extremely good deal.

+1 well said

once its on the report, its on the car. next, comes "the story". im not calling anyone a liar, its just the reality of the situation and the market.
