Thanks to a fellow RL-er (thanks geolab!) I was able to purchase a very nice set of black leather hardbacks this week. Alhtough wasn’t really looking for hardbacks this was a deal I could not resist.
Initially I thought I would just keep them in storage ( for that future 993TT with standard seats…) or maybe sell them on sometime. It was never my intent to fit them in my car because I already have softback sportseats and my interior is dark blue
But man they are soooo beautiful!!!!!
So what should I do:
Have the leather and shells painted to match my interior/exterior .
Fit black hardbacks in a blue interior car and keep softbacks in storage.
Change nothing and just brag about having 2 sets of sportseats.
What do you guys think? Below are pictures of my interior and hardbacks.

I also say keep the blue softbacks. They are beautiful. I like the hardbacks because of color matching, but I'd love to have a set of black softbacks for my car.

Guy: Your interior looks great! +1 on Harry's advice. BTW, is yours a '95? I thought that the soft-back sport seats only came on 95's and maybe '96 built in '95.

Wow, that is some solid support for the softbacks! My car is an early 1994, delivered originally in Belgium. It's not that I don't like my interior, I have always loved the softbacks, superb in comfort and grip.
It's probably just the legend that surrounds the hardback seats, hyped and all.
Today I cleaned and treated the leather of the HB's and they are in such great shape cosmetically that I am definately not going to repaint them. Maybe I will just fit them for a while in a sort of "been there done that" kind of way....
BTW, the seats came out a mint speed yellow 993 TT that the owner will convert to a into a GT2 replica.

+1 Love the huge look of the bolsters on the older sports seats! I'm not usually a fan of the blue interior, but those seats look awesome!
^^^This. Not hard to swap out seats and you'll get to do a back to back comparison to see if the hype is just that, on the HB seats. Maybe you need to sell the HBs and search up another pair of SB sports seats for that future turbo...
