Soft backs look perfect in your car... they just seem correct.
Hard backs are great to save if you don't need the cash and will be perfect for a future turbo.

looks like your dash/carpets/belts are black...so

have the back of hardback ss painted dark blue...leave the seats black and install...:-)

This week I will attempt to install one hardback just to compare. Will post the pics when done....

As promised some photo's with both seats installed. Now that I had a chance to compare them side by side I can say that I prefer the softbacks. You can see on the pics that the side bolsters of the softbacks are much bigger and they really grab your body. I am 6'1, athletic posture, I think for larger drivers the hardbacks are probably more comfortable. Did not put them on a scale but by feel they weigh more or less the same.

As for looks, with both types installed I do prefer the look of the smaller seats in a narrowbody car. For a widebody in a bright color I still think painted hardbacks are the shizzle...

Both types installed, the lower part is the same on both seats. As you can see the hardbacks are a lot bigger!



You can clearly see the difference in bolster thickness
