$65-75K depending on the color combination. If anyone here buys this thing it won't be for future collector value.

I wouldn't say it is all that far away. Look back on Porsches one human generation (~30 years) or 5 model generations prior to the 993. There were only ~80,000 356's produced, which is about the same as the 993. Look where 356 and early 911 prices were in the mid/late 90's, and the 993 is already proving to be very desirable, much more so than the 356 and early 911 was 15 years after their production ceased. Twenty five to thirty years and 4 or 5 model generations after the last 993 rolled off the assembly line, any of the very last and very best of the "old school" air cooled Porsche models in reasonably good condition will command a serious premium, IMO. (Still a relatively poor financial investment, though. ) 2023 is only 11 years away...

'
Ahh you guys are pretty funny with your c4s' and the c2s' - they are just shadows cast from the original supercar - the 993TT.

Cheers,

Mike

Chris, highly depends on color and condition.

Right color, right condition with 17k miles and I would say $60s. If it was a 98 with that mileage and right color combination, maybe even $70s. People seem to place a small premium on the very last year, even though identical to 97

and assuming you have the time and patience to wait to find the maybe 5 people willing to pay that much for it. I'm guessing closer to 60K

Yep, $60K with the right buyer, but will still take some time.

I've thought about selling and got close earlier this year. But then two things happened. 1) What would I get? A 996 GT3 or a GT2? 997 GT3? 2) My wife who isn't into cars put her foot down and said that the 993 is too pretty. That says a lot...

There are other reasons why I'm not selling but really, what could replace the 993? A 993TT? Possibly. In a perfect world I'd have the 993 C2s and a GT3.
