Oh... I wish this were true. Rufus is a Turbo R conversion with a Porsche VIN. It does have virtually all the Ruf bits however. So I have the hat, and perhaps a calf or two.

Nice pics, gents. How do the RUF 19's feel on the car (differences in ride, handling, etc.)?

I can only do an apples to oranges comparison... Rufus Vs Waldo. Waldo had PSS-9s and 18" Kinesis wheels. Rufus has the Ruf-modified Bilstein suspension, and 19" wheels. Rufus handles better but rides harsher... primarily because I've chosen very short sidewall tires to keep the overall tire diameter the same as the stock 18" (255x30x19 and 315x25x19). I may do taller tires on my next (if ever) change. I know the Ruf 19" wheels are very heavy, but I can't tell in my style of driving. YMMV.

I see lot's of Rottec's, no so many Ruf's... Not that there's anything wrong with rottecs.

Bradford - your car is stunning! Did Ruf really make 19" magnesium wheels?? I didn't know that & now I have to find a set!

Be prepared to open the wallet. RUF is not making them anymore and when they did the price was around $10k for a set.

Very lightweight wheel though (relative to the usual alloy). If I recall correctly they were 18lbs (front) and 20 lbs (rear).

Thanks

Yes, Ruf had OZ make their magnesium wheels

On the left is the mag. wheel. The outer lip is flush. On the right is the alum Ruf wheel. The mag wheel were great before Ruf recalled them because of the concern that they may crack in the future. The only issue I had with the magnesium wheels is that they only came in 10" width for the rear, whereas the alum has an 11" available and that is what I am currently using.

I wish Mr. RUF would make this design in a forged wheel.

Just tell Alois that Jäger labeled you as an icon. Should be all you need to get a forged set made.

The Cactus Wagon = icon.

Cactus = artistic 'genius' type that can't remember his iconic car in a calendar:
