I did some chrome trim and must admit it holds up very well...even against pressure washer.

Looks like a cool product. I just fired off an email to the Fonz regarding wheel prep. My 10 year old DD has a very nice set of 20" Moda's on it for summer use, and the clear coat has been chipping off for years now. If a simple clean and prep will allow me to do a Gunmetal spray on them...I'm in!

I have thought about this myself, however what I would be worried about is the overspray between the panel gaps. If you jump on youtube, you can watch him 'dip' a newer Audi.

I used a spray can of the stuff on my stock silver center caps for my Cup II's I had powder coated satin black. For $6 I am very very happy with the results compared to $50 for cheap aftermarket caps or $200+ for Porsche caps. And then I can just peel it off when it comes time to put the silver wheels back on. I'd say the finish is roughly 20-30% gloss, my wheels are 40% gloss and it's not too bad of a match. It looks like now they offer a few colors, and a tinting kit to make your own hue..

I currently have both passenger side wheels sprayed black with this stuff. Just wanted to see how she looked in black and I can walk from side to side and compare the look. I've even have driven car out and about a few times, thought no one would ever notice.
Of course first time out, I had some guy in a Hyundai yap my ear off about it at the gas station, told me how crappy black wheels looked. I kinda like them and think I may powder coat.

So, how hard/easy is it to peel this stuff off? I would hate to leave it on a year or two and then have to go through the effort it took to remove the 3M clearguard (or whatever brand it is) that's on the rear quarter. That stuff turns to stone after a few years in the sun.

Looks great but how long is it supposed to last? Are we talking days, weeks, or even years?

Used it on my front bumper to cover numerous rock chips. I will remove it when i go to paint it. I used flat black on my black cab. Looks good. super easy to apply. Will post pic on weekend.
