After 6 months to fix a dent and paint, if you didn't get a great explanation and a deep discount on any work done at your expense, you should have. That job should have been done in a few weeks.

I think so. Unless of course, it was knowingly put on the 'back burner'. Some customers do that if they're not in a rush.

Anyway, glad to hear its fixed and again that you are okay from the accident!

Should look great, and I'm sure you're excited to have it back.

Take care!

Agree; however, it was a full respray, wouldn't that typically be greater than a few weeks?

Put it this way: it shouldn't have taken 6 months.

I had a reputable body shop do some minor work on my other car a while back. It took 2 months when it shoulda taken a week.

I calmly explained that to the owner and he knocked 50% of my bill.

It can't hurt to ask....6 months is a long, long, long time to fix a dent and paint a car....

Kevin, I'm glad it's finally done. We all have different priorities but I would actually trade 6 months for a respray.

If he knocked 50% off your bill, you were being overcharged by 50%

Complete resprays on a non daily driver typically get love when the shop is slow. Not uncommon. Busy shops are busy for a reason. The results will reflect this

So you're saying 6 months to spray a car and fix a small dent is usual? After 6 months of waiting the price should reflect this.
