I hear you loud & clear - my 993 is in parts all over the garage. What started as a late Winter project to pull the rear bumper in order to replace with a newly-painted one, has turned into:
  • Remove front bumper in order to refinish & fill license plate holes
  • Repair & refinish both splitters
  • Remove & replace all rivets, fasteners, etc.
  • Sell turbo twist wheelset and purchase new MY02 wheelset
  • Sell rear tires and purchase wider rear tires
  • Polish complete exhaust system: catalytic convertor, mufflers, clamps.
  • Send a few pounds of brackets & fasteners out for re-plating
And so on & so forth.....

Can't beat the look and fit of OE parts. Never liked the S/turbo bumper on narrowbody cars, looks like a "bodyshopped" car. Good call on going back, and those splitters add an aggressive touch.

Superb job, very nice.

Thank you.... and I couldn't agree more. I like the fact that the three body modification I made (turbo ducts, RS Splitters, and rear Split Grill) were available in the Tequipment catalog from the dealer back in 1996.

Everything came out great blue TTop! I really like the split grill paint job, very clean and simple, but suits the car nicely.
The sducts are sweet, I plan on adding those on my list of things to purchase in June.. Great pictures too they've been added to my external drive, I love the wheels and stance, but one question though, how did you find 996TT wheels that fit NB 993s?? Ive only found sets with 11" rear wheels and I would really like to find a set to fit my NB coupe.thanks

Thanks. I picked up the wheels from a local mechanic who had them sitting on a shelf. I seriously doubt they are OE.

did you change the fog lights in the S-ducts? The originals are a little weak, and are very rounded. Yours look flat.

The fog lights came with the ducts from Porsche. They are Hella's and come with 5W bulbs. Wire connection is a direct fit.

The before picture below shows the 5W bulb. After is with the LED's from Super Bright LED's. I can post part numbers on the ducts if you want them.

I purchased the LED's from Super Bright LED's: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...sp=%2F1157.htm

Part#: 3710-CWHP6 = 37mm Festoon bulb with 6 High Power LEDs in Cool White.

Hope this helps.
