Default Porschedials

Anyone used these guys before, seems to look like they do a good job and the pricing seems good. The RS RB gauges are especially nice! Feedback from anyone that has purchased would be appreciated.

Those look great, I see that they have KM-Miles and Miles-KM for those that have purchased their car from another country...

Last time I looked into it, Hollywood can't create the transparent symbols and instead are painted over. This requires stronger back lighting to get the same effect.

Thanks for posting. Looks like a very high quality product!

$399 for a full set of dials installed by their VDO person.

I've been thinking how cool it would be to have them reface guages to add a little retro feel to the 993, something consistent with the 911 RS gauges. I think the metal centers are pretty cool too, but might not work on our auxiliary gauges since there are 2 per gauge.

Both shops only work with standard lit gauges I believe since their customizing services basically involves painting the gauge over again. They do a very good job at this, but the process doesn't really work for backlit gauges with specific cutouts since you end up painting over those.

Customizing a backlit gauges is not a terribly dificult thing to do if you have the right equipment on hand. The 'tuner' crowd is flooded with vendors doing this, but none seem to specialize in Porsche per se.

I've been looking to make a few customizations myself such as add a volt gauge, so I may have to give this supplier in the Netherlands a call. Thanks for posting the info.

Just joining the party.

@TS: Thank you for mentioning us.

And no, I confirm he/she is not affiliated to us, just te make sure...

The face plates can be customized any way you like. We use polycarbonate for our face plates. Basically we can make face plates for all brands and types of vehicles, machines, flight sims, etc, etc. We started focusing on Porsche models, especially the 964 & 993 models, when we noticed a lot of Porsche owners in Holland were asking about these. Like we all know, these parts don't come cheap. Prices are often really ridiculously high, even for non-original, after-market face plates.

We now sell our face plates across the world, from The Netherlands to Dubai, from Hongkong to Spain.

@Doberdog: Yes, we offer several models of speedometer faces and the conversion models.

If I may give a little input from personal experience with 993 gauges...

First of all, the company clearly knows what they are talking about. If you look at descriptions of OEM single gauges they show all backlit cutout and then clearly indicate they are not going to be visible unless warning light is on. That's the level of detail and understanding I'm looking for from a vendor.

One concern is that their full gauge sets seem to include OBC-only tachometer faces. Something to be addressed before buying them as if yo have non-OBC tach you're not going to be able to use it. I also see a lot of km markings on the speedometers above the odometers. That might have to be changed or simply painted over for US cars.

Otherwise it looks very promising for those who want to change gauge colors or just replace a single face.

Thank you.

Each order we get is being graphically confirmed with the customer, so they are sure they get what they need, whether that's OBC, non-OBC, tiptronic or whatever Porsche model the customers drives. Each and every face plate is made from scratch, all details can be changed if necessary (like markings, red line, etc).

We basically have all available models. There's no need to painting the new face plates afterwards. Our face plates are ready to be installed.

Really nice looking, I wonder what would look nice in an Arena Red C4S, black interior.
