Well, if the potentiometer is working, that would likely indicate the arm is off, bent, loose, whatever.
If bending the arm didn't do anything, then replacing the unit would be next. Of course, depends on the cost of the unit (NLA from Pelican), and if a new one requires any calibration. No?
