Default Inside fender paint rash

The inside of my front fenders has paint rash and needs to be painted. Has anyone got experience painting just the inside of the wheel well?? My paint guy suggests taping-off just before the lip of the fender and then once dry, covering the new paint and blended area with 3M clear bra material. He said if the new paint is left uncovered, it will chip again in no time. The clear 3M, he suggests, will cover the line between the old and new paint and protect the paint from chipping??

I just had mine done by and airbrush guy and then filmed. I don't know if there is a good airbrush touch up guy in your area. PM me if you want more details.

You'd want to use some sort of gravel guard. 3M Rocker Panel Spray 051131-05910 is a great product.
