Working fine.
Track day.
Wash the car.
No workie.
Checked fuse.
Now what?
I saw the archives for big failures and such, but I'm really hoping just a vacuum line or something?

Make sure your clutch pedal is pulling up all of the way when you release it. The pedals are known to stick a bit over time, and that will not let the microswitch be in the proper position.

So I think the little grey piece in this pic with the red wires coming out of it is the microswitch, judging from the pic and PET. So Q is...what am I looking for then? I get if my clutch pedal is hanging, but considering I drove 250 mi without the cruise working, stopping several times along the way, I'm guessing that isn't it. Does the switch go bad, get loose, etc? How do I tell, assuming the clutch pedal isn't the issue?
Just trying to plan ahead before I head out to the garage across town. (Thx to the fellow who PMed me with this link).

I had the same issue. Followed the links below (removed the wooden floor board and adjusted the switch right in between the break pedal and gas pedal). Worked well ever since.

I'm looking at the pics but still dot get the "adjust the switch" part. It seems the micro switch is electronic and therefore nothing to adjust?
I did check for a hanging clutch pedal. That wasn't the prob.

The switch is a micro-switch held in place by two small Philips screws. Once loosened, the switch can be moved fore and aft on its bracket. But unless you can manually move it by hand pressure, chances are it hasn't moved on you. And if clutch action is whisper quiet, you can hear the switch click as the push the clutch lever in by hand.
I would:
I would:
- check the cruise control fuse
- visually check if the cruise control rod is connected to the throttle
- check the cruise control connector that is below and behind the engine blower fan
- check to see if your brake lights work
- check that the clutch switch opens and closes electrically
- check the cruise control wiring coming off the steering column

Rod to throttle: Is this the bit behind the heater ducts in the engine, or is this more readily accessible?
Brake lights: check
Clutch switch: TBD
Cruise wiring: TBD
