Close to the price of one "premium" wheel!

I will! I'm in 42F Lake Arrowhead until tomorrow morning. That's still in SoCal, and it's already late in May. Brrr.

Back home tomorrow, and the wheels get mounted.

The finished product: I'd say the color is just a touch darker than stock, and then you have the appearance of "depth" in the color. Like the Midnight Blue paint, it seems like they'll look a little diffent in various lighting situations. I'll try and take a pic in the late afternoon-it was pretty much high noon when I shot these.

Looks great Ed. Very subtle and yet quite a statement!

Thanks JP, I'm really liking them! I'm sitting in the garage watching the Monaco race on the DVR, and am spending more time ogling the wheels. I think the thing I like most is the shadows they provide. The side of a given spoke that picks up light kind of glows, and the opposite side of the spoke takes on a muted deeper gray hue. A way to breathe new life into the ol' Cups.

I like them. A lot.

The subtleties of the paint will probably be better revealed in an overcast day with less contrasty light or in person where the eye can see more nuances.

PLease! I've done my track wheels several times, and my street wheels twice. Ready to try this as a DIY. I volunteer, and will post pics and results for everyone!

Ed, great job on the Cup's. They look nice in the photos, I hope we can get together soon so I can check them out. Nick

Thanks Nick-we're about due to set up a San Diego meet or drive. Maybe a trip up to Irvine one of these Saturdays-nice early sunrises make that easier.

Interesting. Looks pretty good to my eye but would need to see them in person. One thing I notice is that most hypersilver rims seem to be a bit shiny. 'Ed's new cups" (will call them C size for clarity sake ) seem fairly matte. Is that correct?
