Default Another wheel questions

Does anybody know if these rims would fit a 993 NB?

Front Wheel: Part #: 997-362-136-00 Size: 8Jx 18
Front Tire Size: 235/40ZRx18

Rear Wheel: Part #: 997-362-140-01 Size: 10Jx 18
Rear Tire Size : 265/35ZRx18

These are off a 2005 997 but owner does not know the offsets. Can anybody tell by the part number?

I found the following on the Pelican website:

Typical 993 NB offsets are ET52 front, and ET65 rear. An ET50 front (such as the 8" MY02 wheel) is fine as well.

18 x 8 ET 57
18 x 10 ET 58
These are the exact specs I had on my Carrera III wheels originally fitted on 997s. If those numbers are correct, you will have no problem at all even if you're lowered. GL.

Thanks for all the replies.

P-Daddy, did you have the 235/40 tire or are you using the 225/40 and will that extra width make any difference?

I had 225/40 but 235/40 will not be an issue at all. There's plenty of room for extra meat at the front. Let me know if you need pics.

Thanks. Just to confirm my understanding of offsets..an offset of ET57 will mean the wheel will be a little closer (8mm) to the wheel well vs an ET65. So this difference is negligible and would have very little impact on the handling. Is this correct?

Have a look at this very good explanation of wheel fitments by Bill Verburg.

Assuming both rear wheels are 10". ET 58 will stick out towards the outer lip an additional 7mm compared to an ET65 wheel. The smaller the ET number, the more outward it extends. 10" rim for a widebody would have ET40, for example.
