I hear you, I can't justify a big chunk of the day. But, there are couple of choices I have in SD that allow me a 30 minute ride to and from-always great on a Saturday morning.
Chunk of the day is part of the issue. The particular chunk that is necessary for Irvine starts at 530am. I hear you though, I also enjoy an early drive with no one on the road.
