Default Removing Speedo unit from dash

Anyone have tips on removing the speedo from the dash of a 993? I've read that it can be removed by prying under the outside trim ring, but I don't see how this can be done without damaging the dash or speedo trim ring.

Thanks in advance for the help!

It's been a while since I took mine out...but I know I removed one of the adjacent gauges, reached in through that opening, and pushed the speedo out from the rear. I think it was the clock...yeah...it was. I was able to get a much better grip on the clock than the speedo...so it came fairly easy.

all the gauges are simply pressed into place, that rubber ring simply acts as a gasket. Some can be much harder than ohers to remove. Try different gauges, see if any will rotate. Gently pull toward you as you rotate, once one is out...just reach your hand/fingers in and help push out the next.

Good luck

Thanks guys. I'll see if the adjacent gauges might be looser. I appreciate the help!
