Default Is Liqui Moly a good brand?

This looks like a good deal. But just wondering how good the brand Liqui Moly is...

yes, my porsche mechanic swears by it. He runs it in his 944 track car, and says that it is very good stuff--high temp shear point. Its also marketed as Lubro Moly in some parts of the world I heard. I am interested to hear what other folks have to say.

wow. if it is a very good brand, then the price ($8.39 per liter) is really good then!

Bumping this 2 year old thread. Anyone currently using this oil in their 993 and if so how does it compare to the other brands frequently mentioned here.

If Steve says it's good, then it's good. Just choose the correct viscosity.

I use it in my 993 and have been using it for about a dozen years since my 964 days. The Lubro was particularly good in my 964 as it seemed the seals really liked the formulation. Once I went to that oil my engine almost entirely stopped leaking. As far as comparing to other oils, I have no other experience with any I've seen mentioned on this board.

I have it in my 993 and so far so good. I don't burn much oil. My driving is 100% street so it is probably overkill for my needs. For my next oil change I will most likely continue using it.

I also use it, and it's great! Also burn very little oil between changes.

Are you using 5-40 or 10-60?

I use 5/40 on my car. I don't track it, and it doesn't get very hot up in these neck of the woods.

They make a 15w-50 but it is for motorbikes, I am not sure how it would hold up. I might give it a try, but I know my mechanic uses the 40wt.
