I have had my 993...
for 12 years, it still amazes me. Got her down to about 2,900 Lbs, have 252 HP to the rear wheels and a mere 78,XXX miles. Although 95% track car, I still really enjoy an occasional street romp. I'd drive her more, but I live down a 3 mile dirt road. Don't have the heart to do this on a regular basis.

"....and the fact that both cars are going to loose value in the future." Not so...The real problem is that money is going to lose value in the future! What you put your money into will determine whether you lose value.

When I find something in a similar price range that puts as big a smile on my face.... Caymen-R was a serious contender, but not quite... Considering the smile factor is constant, maintenance cost continues to rise, really nice "new" cars get old... there will come a day when its time....

I noticed, when i bought the car in december of 2010 KBB said it was worth 20k, now KBB says its worth nearly 27 lol (and ive put 2000 miles on it). I took it to the dealer last week to see if I could get it appraised but unfortunately they would give me wholesale auction price... I dont even want to disclose that of how embarrassing it is.
