Default Fresh Engine ****

I have been spending crazy hours on my car this winter and have several projects getting close to completion. Just thought I would share some engine pics which include powder coated fan/ shroud and red wires thanks to Alex.

Damn that looks good.

BTW Doug, the lower three wires go below the rod that attaches to the A/C, and the upper three wires go above that rod.

Stunning.

Did you send all of the brackets & fasteners out for plating?

Yeah, I saw that as well - I also spend some time making sure the upper and lower wires are perfectly aligned as they wrap around the engine cover. There is a bit extra slack in the lines so the upper clips need to be adjusted - but who can complain -- what a great job on the engine!!!

It's too bad most of it will be covered up, but at least you will know it's there!

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks all . It will be nice to get it back on the road. The plan is for May 1. Your right about the wires. Just wondering if anyone would notice. Actually I just stuck them anywhere to take the pic. I also detailed the engine and replaced shocks/struts and springs. Good eyes.

You do nice work Doug!

What have you been using for cleaners?

These engines look so much cleaner until you start putting back the sheet metal, motor mounts, exhaust, intake manifolds ... did you repaint or touchup the sheet metal?

Cheers,

Mike
