For me, the engine look is very important, as the exterior is too.
The Singer 911 engine is great:
I can't understand why Porsche designed an ugly fan frame. Seems to be dirty, old and rusty...

Its all factory covers with new rubber gaskets. I did a post recently on my experience under timing chain cover refurbishing.
