And a little less 'used'. Would love to know what was offered and turned down.

But joking aside only the buyer can tell if the price is high. Personally I wouldn't spend so much on bling, but to each their own. If someone has to have it then the price is not unreasonable.

Hey Mark, when you bought these for $450 were they brand new?

Speaking from the perspective of someone whose c4s came with those not ultra, but still super rare items, GLWS and may the price keep climbing...

Seriously, would I pay that much for those things? No. Would the PO of my c4s? Apparently. He also paid $400ish per seat for red seat belts and over $1500 for the shop to install them (for the math imparied, that's over three grand for seat belts when the old ones worked fine!). And over $7000 for a new turbo s wing, including installation and paint. People pay crazy prices for crazy things. Just ask Elliot Spitzer. And who are we to judge. Just ask Elliot Sptizer.

How about regular "Carrera"-sills? Found a new set for the equivalent of about USD 85 in Norway. Good deal?

No question. Awesome deal! Assuming you can accept driving around in a 4S with the wrong sills.

I have the OEM S-versions in my convertible. If someone makes me an offer for 600 USD I will pull them out tonight ...

LA Dismantlers is total rip off for used parts IMHO. Most of the times it is more attractive to buy new from sunset.

I scored.
A friend that was taking a perfectly good 96 4S and converting it to a "race car" gave me a set.
but
I "ruined" them with a bit of custom paint work...

Good thing laquer thinner can bring them back to original condition pretty easilly

hmmmmmmm pretty crappy photo at this resolution.
I basicaaly painted Carerra in Iris Blue and the S in RED.

Mark,
Do these sills slice, dice, chop and filet? They did a nice job on those mushrooms. Are these the same sills as seen on the late night TV infomercial? Cause for those slice/dice/chop/filet Ginsu III sills, they wanted $19.99 and you got a second set absolutely free...

For the record, I have such sills and they look really, really nice on the car. If you have the black plastic sill, this is a very nice improvement that you see every time you step into the car.

That's Bat **** Crazy talk ... good thing the OEM bags are still available as the sills appear to be bent from removal

Yep Ted they are bent up as hell. I have a reputation here for raping fellow Rennlisters by selling over priced (bat) **** with absolutely no recourse. Hell I'm an out right thief.

Keith,

I'll resharpen them before I send them out. The edges have dulled slightly from carving too many Thanksgiving turkeys.
