Here you go Jonas!

I think for darker colored cars you really need some contrast, i.e. a silver lip.

To all: Be safe, have a good one!

Very nice. I still have some 996 hollows which need refinishing for my yellow car. I guess I just got some good input.

Agreed; in regards to Porsches, the 'craze' started with Fuchs in the '60s.

I enjoyed seeing FrenchT's artwork in NYC last weekend.
His above "Reflections" comparison piece with an iconic '89 Speedster & a 993 creatively connected heritage with the longevity of black wheels: from Fuchs through the future.

Speaking of the NYIAS exhibit, for anyone who wants to see 'Speedy' and her black wheels in person: they'll be showcased in Manhattan through tomorrow.

FrenchT's artwork on display with the LeMay Museum:

Jager, do you have anything to do with Lemay? They are located in my town & are about to open a huge new museum.

Thanks Jager! I appreciate it! That's a nice title by the way - I like it! The car really brings it together though

Mike-- FrenchT wrote what I was thinking, & I'm glad to hear it from him ^^

There's a good reason why the LeMay Museum's called "America's Car Museum" -- amazing collection.
That reason will be even better understood after the unveiling of their new building.

After two years of construction–pouring 35 million pounds of concrete–the $60 million automobile museum in Tacoma, Washington is just about finished. June 2, 2012 is the grand opening for the facility, which will display 175 of the cars in its collection. The 165,000-square-foot museum and its 3.5-acre show field are adjacent to the Tacoma Dome. In addition to its car displays, the museum includes a library and educational center, theater, café, banquet hall and meeting facilities.

Learn more here. The ACM, as it’s known, has a comprehensive website including coverage of 39 of the museum’s cars. If you want to join the museum, it costs $50. Put it on your list of places to visit on the West Coast.

This mentions the New York International Auto Show exhibit that "Speedy" was in, while also hyping the new museum:

“Our exhibit is just a small taste of what visitors to America’s Car Museum will experience, with examples of cars that Americans love, including some from Nicola Bulgari’s collection,” said ACM President and CEO David Madeira.

The LeMay America’s Car Museum will open on June 2nd and is a four-story museum located in downtown Tacoma. It will house rotating exhibits using cars, music, film, and photographs and will also feature an educational center, gift shop, banquet center, cafe, and library. ACM also hopes to host vintage car events, rock concerts, and drive-in movies.
