Can I hear from a C4S owner who HAS installed RS mounts in their car? PET is not very clear on the engine mount as they show two engine carriers in their diagram - what I can say is that my engine carrier looks like #1 in the PET diagram shown below.
The RS mounts are the ones on the left of the carrier - the stock ones to the right. PET does indicate different part numbers for C2 and C4/Turbo - as folks have mentioned this is likely due to the lack of flex required by the AWD system.
But my question is specifically related to the length of the center bolt - can I use the RS bolt version or do I need to buy something different?
In the p-car writeup a gent writes about his experience installing the RS mount for a Turbo car - but also mentions that it's an ROW model and not NA.
I bought rs mounts from sunset and used the supplied(I'm assuming rs) bolts to mount.
I didn't have any problems with thread length or fitment on my 97 c4s.
I installed a set 3 or 4 years ago and really like the stark simplicity & robust construction. They do transmit a bit more vibration from the engine while at idle - which is a non issue for me.
