Default RS Mounts - C4S info only please!

So I've spent some time looking into this - and, well, nothing ever seems just black and white...

So I've been through this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...t-for-c4s.html

and it really hasn't helped much.

Can I hear from a C4S owner who HAS installed RS mounts in their car? PET is not very clear on the engine mount as they show two engine carriers in their diagram - what I can say is that my engine carrier looks like #1 in the PET diagram shown below.

The RS mounts are the ones on the left of the carrier - the stock ones to the right. PET does indicate different part numbers for C2 and C4/Turbo - as folks have mentioned this is likely due to the lack of flex required by the AWD system.

But my question is specifically related to the length of the center bolt - can I use the RS bolt version or do I need to buy something different?

In the p-car writeup a gent writes about his experience installing the RS mount for a Turbo car - but also mentions that it's an ROW model and not NA.

Some clarification would be great guys - TIA

I bought rs mounts from sunset and used the supplied(I'm assuming rs) bolts to mount.
I didn't have any problems with thread length or fitment on my 97 c4s.

I bought the RS mounts and installed them in my C4S over 20,000 miles ago. I am ignorant of any problem. Didn't seem wrong to me.

+1 on the RS motor mounts installed on a C4S with no issue and NO re-adjustment of my exhaust tips.

I am picking up a 96 C4S this weekend. It needs a rear main seal and while the engines out....
How do you guys like the RS mounts?

I installed a set 3 or 4 years ago and really like the stark simplicity & robust construction. They do transmit a bit more vibration from the engine while at idle - which is a non issue for me.

^^^^What he said.

If you need a super quiet interior for bluetooth cell phone usage, go stock mounts.

That's a good reason to go RS mounts.
