Default Positive experience with rebuilt starter from Autohaus

Just a post on a very positive experience with a rebuilt starter from Autohaus. My starter has been acting finicky for the past 12 mos and sometime it would take 2-3 cranks for it to catch and would sound anemic doing so; now it starts within 2 seconds of turning the key and sounds very crisp.

993 parts are pricey in Hong Kong and Jebsens (the official Porsche distributor) wanted ~HK$12k - over US$1500 - for a new one vs US$200 for a rebuilt Bosche starter from Autohaus. Getting it to HK and sending the core back to get my core deposit added to the cost, but in the end it still worked out to a huge savings

$350 for a new factory Bosche piece is the lowest price I've seen...will have to keep that in mind next time!

If you buy re-manufactured, you can safe another 100 USD.
