Default Back in the stable...

Howdy all!

After five years away, I am back to having a 911 in the garage...feels sooooooo good! Got rid of a white 89 Cabrio when my second daughter was born...what was I thinking!?! Went with an S4 for practicality...whatever.

So when kid number THREE turned 2 6 months ago, I got the fever again. Spent 6 months looking until I found the right one...I think I got it. A solid wash, Scratch X, clay bar and numerous wax coats later, she is soft as the day she came off the assembly line.

'98 Cabrio Tip...

Thanks everyone! No mods are foreseen at this time. Just going to enjoy the sound of that engine winding out in second gear. Sounds different than the '89 did...quieter, but the power delivery seems more linear throughout.

This is my first foray into the Tip and so far it seems kinda fun! Haven't had an automatic in 20 years, but my left knee is thanking me. I was concerned about the strange feeling in second gear until I read about the torque converter lockup which I guess is normal.

Fun times...thanks for your comments. I live down by Hilton Head, SC, so there are tons of cool spots to take some awesome photos. Will be posting many...

Cheers!

Nick

Car looks great Nick. Back in the day, my dream 911 was a white '89 Cab... Still want one!

Your new 993 looks awesome. Please post more pics....

Enjoy all those top down days in the south. I was in Nashville last week and would have liked to have been driving a 911 Cab there!
