I need wide ovals , what a difference, makes stock tips look puny .
I'm thinking the exact same thing after seeing the side by side!

Actually, the "twins" shot features two friends' cars. John's car on the left and Jodie's on the right. Both my cars have the badge removed.

Without, I like the look and it is such a pain to keep it clean around the badge.

I like the de-badged look as well but the ease of cleaning was the clincher.

How easily are they removed? Will the paint/ clearcoat be noticeably different?
I used dental floss to break the bond and then a razor knife to apply pressure from underneath until the adhesive backing released. I pulled mine off yesterday to clean area and maybe leave off, but I have some hardened adhesive on there that I haven't been able to remove.

I just finished de-badging and here are my "lessons learned":

You will need:
  1. A paint friendly solvent to remove the glue residue
  2. A polish to remove the ghost image. I used a machine but it could probably be done by hand but I expect that would take some effort

The Process I used:
  1. The badge came off quite easily. I did not even need floss but was able to lift it off with my fingers. I did use a credit card as a plastic pry bar to gently lift it up
  2. It left quite a bit of hard, dry adhesive behind
  3. The adhesive was fairly tough stuff but I was able to remove it with "Tarminator" (a spray made by Stoner). It took a number of applications and a bit of gentle scrapping, again with a plastic credit card, to get all of the adhesive off. This took the most time
  4. Even after all the adhesive was gone, there was still a ghost image on the paint
  5. I polished off the ghost with a Dual Action polisher and a foam pad. A two step method using Meguiars D300 (white foam pad) as stage one and followed by a final polish with Menzenra PO85rd (black foam pad)

The process took about one hour, start to finish.

I was at a huge anti Stuttgart 21 demonstration a year or so ago. Strange to see the sticker coming from Alabama.

I removed mine about 18 months ago. The Carrera script was easy to remove, but the adhesive was a pain. After several washings and waxings you can only see the goast image is only visible from certain angles.
