Default CT Paint & Body Shop

Hi,

I'm looking for a reasonable paint and body shop. I need a few parts painted.

I'm in the area of Danbury to New Milford on the weekends, and between Cos Cob and the Bronx during the week. I know many of the places around Cos Cob are expensive and they want to quote from their fancy computer program, that tells tehm hom many yards of masking tape to use, etc..

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

If you don't mind traveling up the 95 to exit 13, Cotalings Auto Body is good, at least IMO. My parents have used them for repairs for years.

Nothing in CT is cheap, Farmington Valley Auto Body in Canton isn't too high and I've seen some of there works that isn't bad. Automotive Assoc. also in Canton does very good work, though they aren't cheap.

What parts do you need painted?

Julio Grosso Restorations in Danbury, 203 744 6218 - awesome guy to work with. Does excellent work and works on a lot of Porsches in the area.

Thanks, Canton/Farmington is a little far. I'll look into Cotalings and Julio.

I used My Way in Greenwich before for my E55 (someone else's insurance) great job, but when
I went to them with my turbo s spoiler they said first I should check fit (good advice) then come back and they could put it into the computer and it'll spit out all the material, material costs and time involved for them to paint it. Gave me the feeling of a high price to come.

I was hoping to walk into a place and they could tell me something like $25 to fix the scratch, $80 for a quart of paint, and $xx to spray it. I really don't need a printout of .625 hrs to wet sand, .75 hrs spray booth time etc...

+1
I have had both Julio and Auto A of Canton work on my cars. Both are extremely capable. SpeedSport and Dan Jacobs have Julio paint for them. If you need to have any mechanical work done at the same time AA of Canton is the place to go.

I work a block away from Cotalings. They are not cheap but do good work.
