I wonder where they're getting them from? Does Bosch USA sell directly to retailers or is there another distributor in between?

I was thinking at that price its a lower/budget grade Bosch fuel pump made elsewhere, but then I remember my Bosch distributor caps being made in Spain and not Germany anymore. I wonder where the fuel pump is made?

the volume they purchase must be extreme

Bosch is Bosch, regardless of the box it comes in

Bosch, like every other mfg in the world, make their products in locations where price and desired quality intersect

easy IF you have the appropriate thin jaw wrench to remove the fitting(s), or are willing to modify a wrench, (grind on it), to fit.

My car just started having the buzzing noise from the front also. I think it's from the driver side. The noise gets quieter if I push on the brake pedal really hard. Is it really the fuel pump? It's definitely not the HVAC, because I turned everything off. The noise is constant regardless of vehicle speed, but the engine has to be running. I thought I would hear that with the key on and not running the engine. I don't know what else it could be since there is nothing else up front. Oh, it's a C2, so it cannot be the brake pump. Can any one confirm that it is the fuel pump? Thanks.

Isn't the ABS pump in that vicinity? And the noise changes when you apply the brakes?

Holy crap, is it that loud or was the microphone turned up?

That does not sound like the fuel pumps I have heard failing, but it does not mean its not. You do not have ABD, do you?

A continuous running ABS pump would definitely set a ABS fault and turn the warning light on. That video is helpful, I assume that's what a failed pump could sound like? I will check tomorrow. I don't think there is a vacuum pump for the brake booster?

That is very loud. I really think it's the fuel pump, but, just a long shot and going in different direction, could it possibly be a failing door buzzer?
