Default Source for silver hood emblem?

Did some searching but would appreciate some help or a referral. I did see the DIY with batteries and polish but would prefer just to purchase one. Looking for a authentic emblem "degolded" to silver but not the extreme matte/flat type that were listed recently on the For Sale forum.

Thanks....

I got mine on ebay. I think I paid about $80 for it, but that was a few years ago.

Kika,

Thanks. I did look at the current ebay sellers and bookmarked a couple. That is my fall back plan. If someone here has on they want to get rid of shoot me a PM.

Bumperplugs.com wants $274 for one! Got to be kidding!
Recently I was lucky to find one locally for $50 and in perfect condition.
Funny the gold one that came off my car had the 996 part# and the Silver one the 993 part#.

I first bought one from Bumperplugs.com, but it arrived with chipped and broken enamel. Packaging was perfect and was wrapped well. I contacted the owner who tried to blame me for the damage. I wouldn't buy from them at any price.

Mark: I bought6 mine from Boothe Design until the ***** at PNA came down on him because it wasn't a sanctioned Porsche part. Funy thing is, I recently bought one on eBay for $168 and it came packaged by Fremont (CA) Porsche dealer. Go figure. It is very nice and similar in quality to those Ralph Boothe sold.

BTW, price is now $175:

Its about time we had a thread on this again..................does anyone have the part number for the silver hood crest?

Last time it was raised the boss of Bumer Plugs did make an **** of himself on here claiming his were original badges from Porsche, not modified in anyway. (I think we were up to $5000 for charity if he could prove his comments)

The badge Stealth is talking about is the 928 intake crest

Done.

No other forum on Rennlist compares to the 993 gang. Thanks Nurburger for the sweet deal on your extra emblem.

Just bought chrome one and yes it has a 993 part number on the back. Should have taken note as there is NO WAY I am taking that thing off again. Posts were actually a bit too narrow for the holes and was a bitch to center and "gasket".

No way man. Been there-done that. Just a few little tweaks that can be easily reversed.

But you and other KC guys are pretty cool.
