Holy Crap! Subic sure has changed since I was there. Last time I was there was in late '83, long before the base was turned over.
The navy base was actually in Olongapo and Subic City was a short Jeepney ride away. Consumed a LOT of San Miguel over there. Have a few slides of the old Olongapo.

OH wow! that was at the old NAS Cubi Pt. You think your dated, try 1971-3. I flew in and out of there when I was in the Navy. That place has really changed. But the runway looks the same. I see the ATC facility hasn't changed and I can see where the Enlisted barracks and the "O" club use to be. I remember taking a taxi from the old Carrier pier to the gate and across the bridge to Olongapoo drank a few San Migils in that Town years and years ago.
