I love my cab and will never get rid of it. For those with cabs, you know there's nothing like it. That said, this is a little disappointing from Porsche as their commercials are usually stellar.

It's an ok commercial. I love cabs too.
Interesting, maybe I have gotten used to it, but I actually prefer the roof line of my 993 cab over the 997 coupe like shape. I think it has an elegant shape.

I find this very interesting (and a little sad) as it quite well illustrates how Porsche is trying to appeal to families, even with the new 911. Back in the early days a Porsche was a sports car meant to appeal to serious drivers. Now it's a family car where the cupholder is as important as the performance. My how times change.

It does not tug like the earlier 911 commercials - remember the Patrick Stewart one with the heartbeat - man I can watch that one and I just NEED to drive the car.
If the kids get much bigger, turf the idea of the back seat. Damn kids will be spoiled anyways, what are their expectations when they grow up? LOL!
Yeah, that commercial was "ok" but that its about it.
Cheers,
Mike

Really looks like "marketing" at it's finest. At the end of the day it's about making sales volume to keep the company moving forward, however keep in mind they have so many 911 models nowadays that satisfy almost every driver.
Wait till we see the GT models!

I agree the comercial is so so. It's kinda lame that they are pitching the 911 cab as a family car. The Panamera and Cayenne would be more fitting for that video's format / plot.
^^^That all said,............My cab is often full on the weekends,......top down, kids in the back, and wife riding shotgun. If it were a TIP (she can't drive shift) I'm sure the wife would be hauling the kids around on sunny days when I'm out of town.
I know there are many on RL who frown on cabs, but to me, living in So Cal, cruising around top down in my cab is just pretty awesome.

What's really sad is that they featured the cup holder twice and devoted less than a second to racing footage. I know cup holders have utility, but to show it in a commercial? Get real Porsche.

Mark, they have a use; to slow the person behind the user down. Usually at a light, I'll wonder if the person ahead of me is waiting for a particular shade of green before proceeding, but then how could they tell with a mug plastered in front of their face.
