Gift from Porsche
Porsche sent me an elaborate book and desk piece for the new 991 today. Not sure if you can see it very well, but it consists of 7 clear pieces with an outline of each model type for the 911. Their intended presentation had the 991 in the front. Naturally, being a 993 owner, it was re-shuffled to have the 993 in front.

it's reminiscent of the model silhouette display at the P Car factory.
I arranged it oldest to newest front to back since smaller silhouettes coincide with era.
enjoy!

Looks very cool...
Porsche sent me a postcard in the mail back in late January asking me to "register" for that desk piece... So far, nothing has come in the mail!

How did you get this? I attended the 991 unveiling, and received a cool little poster of all the previous models... but nothing like this! Nice!
Cheers,

I received one as well, but I own and have owned 997s. I understand from my local Porsche dealer that PCNA utilized an algorithm to determine who was most likely a "target" buyer for the 991.

I got mine several weeks ago. It's personalized with my name on it and I think it looks pretty cool.
Very creative and a nice gift from the marketing machine called PORSCHE

I received one months ago and thought it was so lame I think I tossed it. Plastic base with several slots cut in it and several clear plastic sheets to arrange a-la Racko!
Some of the stuff they've sent me... Model of the rear wing of the GT3RS, just a flat back piece that looks like a stick of gum. Panamera USB sticks were perhaps the best - at least you might use it (of course it's bulky and low capacity). Piece of cloth like the door pulls from the Boxster Spyder. Long list of useless stuff - now if they sent a small model of the actual car, I'd have it on display and might think more about buying the product...

Well, that's not my objective. Rather it's for Porsche to send some goodies we actually would enjoy, display, and talk about when people come to the office or home and see the "cool model of the GT3". Benz sent me a small model in a clear case many years ago and it's still on my shelf. Couldn't tell you where any of the 10 items Porsche sent me in the last 5 years is.

Ron- JK, you know the expression, one man's junk is another man's treasure. I've owned 3 E Class MB's in the last 12 years and other than invites to drive new model AMG's I haven't received squat from them. I have a nice paper weight with a Porsche crest with my name on it, an mp3 player, various premium items from Porsche over the last decade or so. I like their stuff

I'm being snarky and sarcastic When I open one of these things and know what marketing pieces like this cost (because I commission some expensive pieces) it just floors me. They spent more on that "carbon fiber" wing-in-a-glass-box thing than it would have cost for them to get an off-the-shelf die-cast. The amount of money they spend with complex boxes / presentations... Then again, maybe the quantity isn't that great as it sounds like they are very targeted.
