Default Costa Mesa/OC CA Anyone? Hopefully my last one!

Does anyone live near this vehicle to run a RennFax? Hopefully, this is my last one to check out before I commit to the Silver 97 C2S.

Here are some details on the car provided by the seller (His opinions):

Odometer now: 92800.

Recent car service:
92445: Oil and Valve Cover Gaskets.
92558: New Factory Starter, Smog, repair odometer, repair horn, repair dash light bulb

Original clutch? Not sure, but runs tight, and strong and still working fine.

Valve guides replaced? No

Pads new at appx 80,000 odometer. Brakes are excellent. Tires are 90%

Service completed at: Hegesheimer in Lake Forest
Auto Strasse in Costa Mesa
Pecora in Costa Mesa

2nd owner, has owned the car since Jan 2005, put 13,800 miles on it. It is driven 1-2 X per month, not a daily driver, always garaged and covered.

Seller says to set up a test drive if you are near Orange County, Southern Calif.

Thanks again everyone that has provided me with their time, advice and mentoring with my first Porsche purchase! Waiting for this summer is worst than waiting for Christmas as a little kid

Good sign. I have heard very good things about Hegesheimer. Suggest you call a mechanic there and talk to them about the car as well.
Is the owner a Rennlister?

CJ is in the OC now, but he is probably getting ready for spring training....

Matt,
It is a little hard to tell from the photos, I would ask which suspension is on it now. It looks to be close to US ride height. If it has the stock suspension it will probably need replacement in the near future.

Is the driver's seat side bluster worn? This is a very common issue with these cars, when you get in you tend to drag your butt across that part of the seat and it causes excessive wear.

If you like the colors, and the PPI comes back clean this could be a good one.

Great price and Hergesheimer is an excellent shop. Might be worth giving them a call too.

Great points fellas. Jack of Hearts may try and take a look for me on Friday. I really like the S but the other S and NB I am looking at are better optioned.

Couple of things. Make sure the odo readings make sense when looking at all the documentation. If it was broken, for how long was it in that state? The seam on the drivers bolster may be coming apart. Hard to tell in those photos. Trunk carpet is a bit 'loose', so check underneath (could have been removed to install those amps).

Quick Reply: Costa Mesa/OC CA Anyone? Hopefully my last one!
