I think the factory set that was sold on ebay went for $1200.00 about a month ago with a buy it now of $1350.00. No ballast or wiring. The same people have another set up now but no buy it now listed.

I bought a pair of control units (the ballasts) for about 160 (they are available from various sellers and there is a lot of interchange with BMW and Mercedes cars of that era).

I haven't gotten around to installing but I can point people in the right direction, etc if they need help.

I got mine from the same guy on ebay and the other components from sunset. I sourced some ballasts from the same guy on ebay but they ended up being for another porsche. The adapter cable would'nt plug in because the raised ear in the ballast doesnt line up with the groove on the plug. I think they were off of a 996 but not sure.Where did you get your ballasts for $160? Where they 993 specific or another car? Do you have the model #s of other bosch modules that fit the 993?

Im surprised there are not more people who would want these lights.

Thanks

Well you can buy new H1 bulbs from Philips and others that provide 100% more light than stock, last longer, just plug them in, etc etc etc. Unless you drive just at night and are blind as a bat...well then why?

Just a guess but $50 for aftermarket vs $2000 for OEM may have something to do with it.

Yeah, I'm all for OEM but the aftermarket units are as good and just too cheap relative to the OEM for me to bother. Also, since my car didn't come with Litronics when new in my view even with the factory units it's still not 100% original. I can see the appeal of 100% stock though.
