NY/NJ/CT Rennlist Spring Run - Sign Up Here
OK Gang, mark your calendars for May 19th! Arrwin and I are planning a special Spring Ride concluding at Lime Rock Park for Parade laps and a luncheon. The event is being held as a fund raiser for Lime Rock Park's Trees Campaign and Survive the Drive. A donation of $30 per car will be split between the two causes. For details, go to www.55trees.com and www.survivethedrive.org. Bob Green, the head of survive the drive will lead the parade laps. Bob is also the Skip Barber instructor and often drives the pace car during Lime Rock racing events. The drive will originate in NJ probably exit 5 and I will map out a nice ride up to Lime Rock Connecticut. After the parade laps the restaurant will be open for lunch. Expect to see folks from the Ferrari , BMW and Corvette clubs at the track as well. It should be a great time to meet new people and for those that haven't had their car on the track, a cool way to check it out in a safe controlled manner. We will need a headcount so if you want to join, please reply to this post. I hope we can get a nice crowd and kick off Spring in a big way and help 2 worthy causes. The details of the meeting location and route to Lime Rock will be out well before May 19th. Hope to see you there and look forward to a nice turnout of 993's
"Donations will be collected at the starting point. If you prefer to write a check, they can be made out "Survive the Drive" and "Lime Rock LLC" for $15 each."
UPDATE-UPDATE-UPDATE (as of 4-29)
Fellow Rennlisters:
I did a recon today and have a great route mapped out for our tour to Lime Rock Park on the 19th.
Based on some requests to have an additional meeting location for people living in Westchester, Ct, Mass and other points north, I found a 2nd meeting location in Peekskill, NY. This is just east of the Hudson and off Interstate 84 at exit 13. The Red Line Diner has plenty of space for parking and there are gas stations near by as well. Before we make this official, I would like to get a headcount for each meeting location.
Please post a reply indicating which location you prefer to meet and based on the results Arrwin and I will set the details.
1) NJ Exit 5 off the Palisades
2) NY Exit 13 off Interstate 84(Peekskill)

****ATTENTION: We have reached the 50 car maximum for parade laps for this event. With that said, the parade laps are only a very small part of the day's experience. The group ride and entry to Lime Rock make participating in this day still very worthwhile. And the participants will still be donating to two very worthy causes.****
It's been a while....but i'm back fellas! :reckon: I will start an attendees list.

That should work for me unless I'm moving my daughter home from college that weekend. Knowing the route and estimated schedule would help me "meet up" else I'll join you at LRP (coming from central CT). Keep me in the loop and thanks for organizing!

Quick question: How do we make the donation - collected at the event?
