Is the Stinking Rose still around? I think it was in North Beach.

I mapped as many of the restaurants mentioned in this thread as I could:

Also, does anybody have more recommendations for coastline bites between SF and Santa Cruz? A dearth of dots on the map in that location!!

Sure thing! It is my brother's favorite place. I try to take him there whenever I visit him. We haven't found anything that we don't like yet.

At the West end of the Wharf:
Try the outdoor food vendors for a quick snack
There's also an In 'N Out Burger at the West End
Scoma's

A few blocks South/Southwest of the Wharf:
As mentioned above, The Stinking Rose
Tommasso's for the best Cioppino in SF
House of Nan King for the best Chinese in SF The place looks like a real dump, but the food is incredible.

In the Union Square neighborhood:
Dottie's True Blue Cafe for breakfast. Get there early, because a huge line forms.

This is still my favorite 993 thread lol.. booked our nights almost exclusively from this thread

Have one night left in Monterrey to book.. we are going to Passion Fish in the Grove and a small place in Carmel we went on our honeymoon.. but on the night we are in Monterrey for the auction I am looking for a nice dinner..

These were the two listed.. we are getting lunch from Compagno's one day.. and not really up for Indian I think for dinner..

Ambrosia Indian Bistro on Ambrego St in Monterrey
Compagno's Market and Deli in Monterrey

Any more dinner suggestions?

S.

I have no more dinner suggestions, but having recently been in Vancouver for a few days, I have a breakfast recommendation for when you return home:
The Elbow Room Cafe, downtown on Davis St.
The food is great, and the Host, co-owner Patrick, is a real hoot!

R&G in Chinatown for chinese food. Free parking at the garage about 1 block away. Be sure to get the special crab dish and the R&G special beef dish.

My fav thread is resurrected

Heading back again at the end of June.. going to Saison, Benu and Quince (repeat at Quince, was so good last time) have a couple more nights to fill and looking for something more casual or new. Anyone have any good tips.. was looking at Canteen, Lolinda, State Bird Provisions (this seems still crazy hard to get into). Of course if anyone out there has a two top at French Laundry on June 29th they are not using.... just saying.. wink wink. lol..

Good (but not fancy) Chinese at Jennie Low's in Mill Valley. Good pizza at Dario's in Sausalito.

My favorite breakfast place is in SF near AT&T park, called Town's End Restaurant. Awesome cornbeef hash.

Went to a little Italian restaurant off the main street on the second floor...might have been Cantinetta Luca on Dolores St. in Carmel. It was great.

If you're going south to Big Sur don't miss Post Ranch Inn - Sierra Mar restaurant

Fantastic food and awesome scenery. You need to book in advance and its expensive (a rare treat for my wife and I).
