Dan, did you ever figure out what it was? I am having similar issue. Fan regulator works as normal, but no matter if I have heat, exterior air, or AC selected, I only get hot air. Odd thing being, the AC is blowing cold on the right most (dash) vent. So I don't think CCU or AC are shot. Sounds like either the flip valves under the engine or due to broken mixing flap servos (1 or both sides).

Could someone provide pix of how to check this in footwell? I am not too handy with DIY, so also let us know dificutly level of checking and fixingf. Again, any pix or links to some, would be great! Cheereos...

unclespeed, you are describing a typical mixer servo failure scenario. Have a look here for details and pictures on how to find the fault and how to fix it:

My driver side (left) mixer servo was indeed shot. With the help of fellow Cincinnati Rennlister Jeff, we managed to dismantle the servo so that we could close the mixer valve. It stays that way now no matter what setting I choose on the ccu (heat, fan, AC). It's a workaround, but since I don't drive in Winters any longer, it may never really bother me! (Heat still works in middle and right side). Given the apparent $300 price of a new servo - I may just do without heat on left side.

Thanks for the instructions Tore! It really helped us.
