I've not had the pleasure of driving a GT3, so I can't compare the two. But the 993...simply perfect for me.

I only drove two Porsches when I was in the market for my first Porsche just over two years ago. The 993 that I have and a 2005 Carrera C2. No contest in the grin factor!

I felt the same way about my Suzuki RG 500 Gamma; 95 HP, 340 pounds, 11.5s quarter...and that was 16 years ago. The Gamma at less than half the displacement was so much more fun than the GSXR 1100 of the time and almost as quick being a four-cylinder square-four, two-stroke.

Ok, but would you sell your GT3 to buy a 993 again?

do you still have it? post more pics please! I love two strokes and always wanted an RG500 or Yamaha RD500 when I was younger but sadly neither was officially available in the US...damn EPA/DOT!

To me, a 993 is the "Sophia Loren of sports cars"...Classic, timeless beauty, gorgeous body, European elegance, poised and graceful as a cat and performs as well as she looks!

Unfortunately not and one of those sales I regret. More pics...unfortunately only on paper...that was before the days of digital cameras.

I had just finished technical college after getting out of aviation, saw this new 1990 BMW R100 GS which I still own, didn't have a job yet and ended up selling my ultra mint Gamma to a guy in Boca Raton, FL to pay for my BMW.

BTW, having been into the repli-racers, the Yamaha was not in the same league and the Honda at 3 cylinders and 400 cc was not either.
