OK, so that "993 pic thread" got me thinking: who really likes the look of their 993 with the Factory wheels? Chime in ...and with pics a plus!

I do, or I wouldn't have bought a second set. They do have clean styling and are certainly more "period" looking.
I plan to have my spare set refinished so that I can see how close the wheel refinisher can get the pigment/color to OEM. Then I'll have the wheels that came on my car refinished if they do a good job. The spare set will then get a gun metal finish for some contrast against Speed Yellow.
What I'd like to see are member's cars with Cup IIs painted in different shades of dark silver to charcoal.

I have always thought that Cup IIs look perfect on NB 993s - much like Fuchs look perfect on pre-964 911s - and are one of the all-time best/classic Porsche wheel designs.
If memory serves me correctly, within the last few years, Chris Harris stated essentially the same thing, which is kind of cool.
I like Cup IIs so much that I traded the hollow twists that came on my car for a set, and then bought another set. Pardon the bad resolution, but here's a shot of my car at RRIV. I think the Cup IIs are holding their own in terms of looking the part.

Put on my CupII today. They looked kinda ugly, but I just love the way the car feel with these wheels on. Steering is light with plenty of feedback. The car feels light and nimble.
You get the same feeling when switching between the lighter 17" and heavier 18" wheel?
