Who actually likes their stock wheels?
#16
I didn't like them at first, but they are growing on me..though it may be due to the small selection of (not ungodly expensive) aftermarket wheels.
Does anyone have Cup 2's with spacers? I think they'd look better with a more aggressive offset (truth be told, this is the case with a LOT of stock wheels, no matter the car).

When I had Cup 2s, I wanted anything else but.
When I have Rufs, I want Cup 2s.
Looking to buy some Cup 2 wheels:

I still like the 18" factory twists that I purchased new in '05. That said, a set of new or as-new MY02 wheels would be fine with me as well.

Stock or factory option wheels look best IMO. Especially Cup II's and Twists!

I've really grown to appreciate Cup II's. They look great on a lowered car with 5mm spacers all around and honestly, it's the wheel that my coupe performed the best with, as been said above, light, responsive and forgiving.

Yeah, I definitely think the stock targa wheels look great! Not to mention enjoy some rarity, to boot. Post a pic, will ya!!
Funny thing about wheels, when I first got my 993 just over a decade ago, I loved everything about it. Then saw all of you sick folks here and immediately had wheel envy. And only recently have I come full circle to really enjoying the look of the Cup II ...on a lowered car, where the wheels fill the wells. With the car at a good ride height, you can't even tell they have those "tiny" 17s
That said, there is something very classy, too, about the MY02 wheels on a 993 ...I still secretly wish for those. But then I see mine and the world is good again
C'mon folks, lets see those pics: the glory of the 993 wearing OEMs!

Three Wheelin'
I like stock cup II - it's the stock ride hight that kills them.
If there is any wheel that looks "correct" or could have/should have been stock, it's the MY02. Not that they made them during production, Just my opinion.

I have looked at every set of wheels in the most visited thread on this site. And in my opinion, the twists look better than any of them. I think Porsche's designers had it right when they made the wheels.

I'm not a huge fan of the hollow spoke twists on my car but I like the technology. I'm actually loosing sleep of the prospect of fuchs wheels reaching these shores soon.

I used to not like the 17in Cup II, but now i love the clean simple look of them. Especially on a lowered narrow body!
