Spark plug wire location on Distributor caps

They may be labelled, but that won't tell you if the cable is to go around the distributor cap this way or that way, or that the cable gets snaked through the middle of the distributor cap. The labeling only tells you which post in the distributor cap to connect to...but not how to go about it.

I remember.

Well since we don't have any data, we might as well not assume that they fail, or we might as well replace the whole car.

My data...a sample of one...sixteen year old caps and all are firing...I tested them both with a meter and then while actually firing.

I just brought that up recently in a thread. Point made is, you can have a name brand NEW part, and it can fail or not even work right off the bat.

I was 13 at the time. Troubleshooting skills were lacking back then, but then would would suspect a new set of Bosch points or the caps on a new set of Beru cables.

Well, I just hate buying parts that I don't really need. Its one of the many reasons why I keep my cars and motorcycles out of shops.
