The one in the first clip, when it's slowing down sounds like my old Kubota B21 with the knocking. And what's with the stalling - does it have a LWF or something...

Even a stock '66 911 sounds better than that. what's with the stalling? And that annoying rattling...and that's the ugliest dash I've ever seen. That car needs some serious work.

The second one wasn't so bad. But still totally unimpressive. Ferrari engines do normally sound great though. Especially the 12-bangers.

Man that looks like a lot of fun. With regards to the first video, there is a nice link in the description of an "after" video here:

I think the car sounds much better in this link with higher resolution video and sound. Hey I've never heard a stock 67' 911, got any videos for that?

His quote is perfect "This is hopeless".

Sounds good on acceleration, but the tractor like noise including idling is really bad in the first video. Weird sound for a V12 - definitely not setup for the street, the flywheel must be pretty light (hence the stalling), and the video recorder is likely doing it injustice. I am not sure what the appeal is here - I think you have to be there in person. The outside of this car is cool though.

Is that large switch on the dash the signals?

I like the 250 - and the huge steering wheel!

Cheers

Mike

There was a bright yellow Ferrari F360 in the parking lot of a BMW motorcycle shop that I was taking in. When the owner came out, he turned on the music and it was heavenly throughout the rev range.

But talking about tractor-like sound, in comparison, my RSRs or any other aftermarket exhaust that I have heard, sound like an American muscle car or monster truck while idling.

In fact, one day soon you'll see a post "I just switched from RSRs to Stage OEMs" since I just bought a set of unmodified OEM Porsche mufflers.

My I-pad has a crappy speaker so I doubt I'm hearing anything like realistic sound reproduction. From what I could hear, the first tape sounded oddly agricultural and the second more like the fruity sound of a Columbo V12. I am partial to the fruity sound best represented by inline sixes like 120 Jags, Austin Healeys, the aforementioned Ferrari Columbo V12 and 3 cylinder motorcycles. With that said, the two most amazing engine sounds I've ever heard were one, the Britten 1000 going around the Daytona oval and two, any AA fuel dragster when it's 8,000 hp engine is blipped to 8 or 9 thousand rpm's and goes back to idle in a bazillionth of a second! Neither sound is fruity but there you are. Cheers.....Chris
