Thanks for all of the replies. I didn't realize this was going to be a topic that had been brought up numerous times before or I would have "searched first, asked later."
Anyone in the no-pan camp want to free up some space in their garage? Being a 4-seasons car, I'd like to have one..I check eBay, etc. occasionally but haven't seen one yet.
Travis, engine trays sell or are bought in waves, depending on what is written on Rennlist.
There is a risk of damage if one removes the engine tray, especially if one's car is lowered at all.
After removing my engine tray, the heater flapper boxes drooped ever so slightly, enough so that when backing out of a driveway, one caught on the lip of the driveway and was torn off.
Replacing it with a new flapper box will cost you a few hundred.
And these aren't even in the same universe as the 964 variant. (Show me how necessary they are on those cars, then show me a 964RSR delivered with one.)
