Thanks for all of the replies. I didn't realize this was going to be a topic that had been brought up numerous times before or I would have "searched first, asked later."

Sorry, I need to keep this one just to keep the car "Complete". You'd be welcome to any extra trays if only I had them!!

Travis, engine trays sell or are bought in waves, depending on what is written on Rennlist.

Engine trays will be one of those 'holy grail' parts 15 years from now.

I have 2 in my garage now and plan on keeping them.

This is clearly the right time to invest in engine trays. So... you wanna buy mine? LMK OK THX.

It's getting pretty hard these days to find an engine tray that has the right level of ZDDP.

Mine sits in the garage rafter storage nicely.

I modded mine so that it extends and retracts in synch with my spoiler.

There is a risk of damage if one removes the engine tray, especially if one's car is lowered at all.

After removing my engine tray, the heater flapper boxes drooped ever so slightly, enough so that when backing out of a driveway, one caught on the lip of the driveway and was torn off.

Replacing it with a new flapper box will cost you a few hundred.

And these aren't even in the same universe as the 964 variant. (Show me how necessary they are on those cars, then show me a 964RSR delivered with one.)
