FS: G50 6-speed, regeared, steel synchro, GT LSD
TRANS IS SOLD!!!!
I am parting with a complete G50 transmission that is ready to go for street or track. This trans includes a Guard Transmission "GT2 PRO" diff. The gear ratios for 3-6 have been changed and steel synchros are installed on 3-5. Hergesheimer MotorSports has just opened it up for inspection and resealed the case. The box has low hours and looks great. Ready to fill with fluid and install. Custom semi-solid mount currently installed. This would make a great street or track performance box! Looking for $8000, contact me at eric@herg.net.

1st 11:42 3.818 stock synchro
2nd 21:43 2.04 stock synchro
3rd 20:32 1.60 steel synchro
4th 21:27 1.286 steel synchro
5th 31:33 1.063 steel synchro
6th 42:39 .928 stock synchro
Final Drive 9:31 3.444

These gears work out to.
Stock 1st
Stock 2nd
Custom 3-5th
Stock 5th now in 6th.
Works out with 6800 rev limit and 25.5" tires to.
1st. 39mph
2nd. 73mph
3rd. 94mph
4th. 116mph
5th. 141mph
6th. 161mph

here's what it looks like, 265/35 x18 tires has a nominal height of 25.3" but the loaded rolling height is 24.6" so that's what I use

I don't understand the complaints about the 1st to 2d drop.
The tranny was not developed for street use. For what it was built up to do, it looks wonderful, and the high strength GT LSD is to die for.
Great price on what looks to be a great tranny - hell, buy it and regear a few slots, sell the others for cost recovery.
