Did you drive it, or are the roads covered in salt out there in Deutsche country?

O2 sensor? Other than that, I'd probably pull the ISV and give it a thorough cleaning...

ISV valve. Clean it. Sorry, pulling your chain, recalling a past thread where everyone harassed you.

My '95 with 60K miles also does this when it is cold. (Sorry, Florida cold, around 40!). Other times no problems. I thought it was just the cold, not indicative of any other thing. I will watch for comments!

Link was a list if applicable Rennslist threads. Since it failed to work, please follow these steps:

1) Open up the Search function in Rennslist.
2) Type in "Idle" and select Title Only
3) Select the 993 forum
4) Hit Search Now button
5) Adjust Amish reading glasses and enjoy reading dozens of threads that address idle questions

Certainly seems plausible, by why only when cold. Would an actual vacuum leak not should itself anytime the engine is at idle?

I had the line from to the vacuum canister off, for a while. Mine would hunt idle like this. It was a very small leak, so it didn't really cause problems other then idle. Really only when the engine was cold.
